Repair Cafe Update

Hello Everyone

As we as yet, do not know when we are able to resume running Repair Cafes, I thought that I would like to offer a repair service to our local community, still based on the same system that we normally run at the Repair Cafe, (eg. have your items repaired for a just a donation).

I have identified a number of Volunteer Repairers who are willing to carry out repairs at their own homes.

I would ask that all the people that would like to use this service and have an item to repair to initially contact myself and have the following available:

Identification of the item to be repaired, together with the problem or failure mode and also the persons details, (Name,Address, Telephone Numbers and Email Address).

I will then be able to complete a registration form for each item and then make contact with the relevant Repairer.

The registration form would then need to be collected from me and then together with the item taken to the Repairer and left at an agreed location for delivery and collection.

To date I have identified an Electrical and a Dyson Vacuum Repairer who have already carried out some repairs for clients in the village. I have now been able to attract some Sewing Machinists to carry out clothing and fabric repairs and also a knife and garden equipment Sharpener together with a GeneraI Repairer.

I also have been carrying out some woodwork repairs myself.

So if anyone has any items which they would like us to look at and repair in this difficult period, rather than assigning them to the bin, Please contact me Stephan on 07715 460783 or at sfelehner@aol.com

Many thanks and kind regards,

Stephan.
