“Green Drinks”, a gathering on the last Wednesday of the month at the York Inn, Churchinford, will provide the ideal opportunity for people from all over the Blackdown Hills and the surrounding towns and villages to share their passions for green/ecological issues, to swop ideas and to inspire one another with their unique talents and skills.
“There are so many people working on so many wonderfully innovative projects in and around our area”, says Trisha Comrie, who is co-launching Green Drinks with Helen Humble, “and it feels that now is the time to take the next step and bring all these incredible people and ideas together to create, if you like, ‘ecological “highways’ ”.
Everyone is most welcome to come along to Green Drinks whether they have questions to ask or answers to share. “We all have something to contribute to the conversation – our unique stitch to add to the tapestry – and talking with others can be so empowering”, adds Helen.
As the Dalai Lama said: “If you think you’re too small to make a difference, try sleeping in a room with a mosquito!”
